How do I make a choice about the University, the course and the place?

What are the courses available for higher studies?
A comprehensive list of courses would be available in the University prospectus and also on the University web sites. It varies from university to university. Most of the universities have almost all courses from undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, research degrees (MPhil, PhD) to be offered to international students
How long is the admission procedure?
It differs for different Colleges / Universities. Approximate time period would be 5 to 8 weeks. However we try our best to get the University’s response about students’ acceptance earlier.
Is getting a part-time job difficult?
No. It is not so difficult to get a part-time job. In fact, if you are open to all kinds of legitimate work, securing a part-time job could be very easy too. In fact you are respected for all kinds of work in the other countries and your part-time job is also a learning house for you as it offers you a chance of improving upon your communication skills, exposes you to real-time work, initiates you to interact with different people, improves the confidence level and above all assists you with the better handling of your expense account.
What is the course duration of Bachelors and Masters?
The course duration for Bachelor's is 3 to 4 years while for a Master it is 1.5 to 2 years.
Can I work during my course?
Normally you are allowed to work for 20 hours part-time per week during your full time course. However, during vacations you can work full-time.
What kind of accommodation could I get while my course?
* The student can choose their accommodation as per their choice.
* University Halls,Hostel of Residence Self-Catered – Where the students can cook their own food.
* Catered – Where the student is provided with the food Private Accommodation
* Rented Shared Apartment (Students can make their own group of colleagues or could directly join other people living in anapartment in a separate room on rent) Stay in a hotel or a guest-house
Is IELTS compulsory for visa?
For Australia IELTS is mandatory for visa. The minimum requirement is of 5bands. While for New Zealand it is not mandatory requirement but minimum 5.5 bands is the preferable for visa. While for USA, a student can take IELTS instead of TOEFL as most of Universities have started accepting IELTS. But it is not mandatory for visa.
Which program one should go for?
A student needs to do proper research work for the correct course. Based on these researches, he can get guidance for his future moves. The varied steps one should consider are:
* Collect as much information on the concerned university & program.
* Read information on study materials through handouts, catalogs, pamphlets.
* Constantly refer to the university web sites.
* Read student evaluations.
* If possible, watch program videos.

What are the varied tests one needs to clear for getting admissions in foreign universities?
In order to be considered eligible for distant education in most foreign universities, an Indian has to undergo certain tests like GMAT, GRE, SAT, TOEFL & IELTS. These actually judge a student’s basic level for the varied courses he is applying. While GMAT is essential for getting through a management course, GRE is meant for all other miscellaneous courses apart from management. Both are vital when applying for graduate courses. SAT is meant for undergraduate courses. IELTS & TOEFL are two of the most required English proficiency tests that one has to appear for along with the standardized tests. These ease the task of application procedure, since, they are recognized by almost all overseas universities.
What is the initial level on the basis of which overseas universities absorb students?
Students can apply for both undergraduate & postgraduate degree courses. One just have to figure out the suitable course one would like to go in for. Students can apply for postgraduate course in the US universities only after completing their graduation. However in Australia, students can apply for varied degree courses as Honors, graduate diploma etc.
